Create a Password for Your Windows Vista User Account

Okay, so you bought your new computer and didn’t think you would be interested in Vista’s nice little password feature that can provide you a bit more security or even save your PC from that 3 year old corruptionist(yes I made this word up). This guide will get you one step closer to having a 100% secure computer and its relatively simple for those of you who aren’t very computer literate.

Click the Windows icon, open “Control Panel”, and make sure you are set on “Control Panel Home.”

Click “User Accounts and Family Safety”.

Click “User Accounts” at the top of the window that you just got to.

Now, to set a password for you account click “Create a password for your account”.

Next, just type in the password you want in both boxes. Then, type in the hint you want that will remind you of what your password is should you forget it when you wake up in the morning.
