Delete Unused Fonts in Windows XP

No we haven’t gone crazy… yet. Having too many fonts can really slow down how fast your programs start-up. You should make sure you have no more than 200 fonts. The less fonts you have, the more faster your programs will start up.
Click “Start”, “Settings”, Control Panel and double-click this icon (font icon):
This screen opens…
All you have to do is delete the fonts you know you don’t use.
