This guide will show you how to stop CD/DVD media from automatically playing when you put them into your CD/DVD drive.
In your Ubuntu menu, click “System”, “Preferences” and “Removable Drives and Media”. This window will open…
Click the tab called “Multimedia” and your window will look like this…
If you would like to stop CDs from automatically playing you would un-check the box that says “Play audio CD discs when inserted”. If you would like to stop DVDs from automatically playing you would un-check the box that says “Play video DVD discs when inserted”.
