A lot of these Services that are keeping your Windows Vista bogged down you will NEVER use!
First, we will show you how to access the tool that will allow you to disable services and how to change them.
Like highlighted in the above screenshot, click the drop-down box, select “Manual” and click “OK”.
Now that you know how to disable services, here is a safe list of services that are safe to disable:
√ Distributed Link Tracking Client (The one we showed you above)
√ Function Discovery Provider Host
√ Function Discovery Resource Publication
√ TCP/IP NetBIOS Helper service
√ WebClient
There are many more Windows Vista services you can disable. However, things can get messy if you disable a service you need. Our list of services are 100% safe to disable.
And what if you disabled one NOT on your website?? I can’t get it back, please help!
many forums said it was slowing things down so I disabled, but now it doesn’t show up.
C
Boot up in safe mode; you should then be able to re-enable services.
Why would you claim that “Function Discovery Resource Publication” is something you will NEVER use?
If you have a network of any kind and you’re trying to share files, disabling this service will prevent file/resource sharing.
