Disable Windows XP Sounds

You know those sounds you hear when you click a folder etc.? Not only are they useless and can get annoying they also slow Windows XP down.
Click “Start”, “Settings”, “Control Panel” and now click this icon (sounds and audio devices icon):
This window now opens…
Click the “Sounds” tab and your window will now look like this…
See that drop-down box that’s under “Sound Scheme”? click that drop-down box and select “No Sounds”. When you do that a pop-up will come up, just click “NO” and click “Apply”.
