Setup Disk Deframent On a Schedule in Windows Vista

Wouldn’t it be nice to not have to worry about defragmenting your hard drive every week, month or how often you want it defragged? Windows Vista has a nice defragmenting tool built in to the operating system that has several different features including a scheduler. By doing this, you don’t have to worry about doing it your self, and you know that it gets done as long as the computer is on at the scheduled time. I’m going to show you the different features of Vista’s defragmentation tool and what settings I use to keep my computer running at peak performance.

First we need to open the application itself: Click the Windows icon> “All Programs” > “Accesories” > “System Tools” > “Disk Defragmenter”.
